Moroccan Journalists Condemn Normalization of Media Ties with Israel

They censured the formal activity of a Zionist media outlet in their country and normalization of media ties with the Zionist regime, raialyoum.com website reported.

In a statement, the journalists described it as a crime against the Palestinian people, the Moroccan nation and humanity.

Tens of journalists and reporters from different media outlets in Morocco signed the statement.

They added that the opening of the office is a move aimed at provoking the sentiments of the Moroccan people who consider support for the cause of Palestine as a national issue.

The i24 network recently announced in a tweet that it has launched two offices in Morocco.

Morocco is one of a few Arab countries that normalized ties with the Israeli regime in 2020.

In December that year, Morocco had reached a US-brokered agreement with the Zionist regime on the normalization of relations, becoming the fourth Arab country – after the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, and Sudan – to reach such an agreement with the Tel Aviv regime in 2020.

The normalization deals drew widespread anger and condemnations in the Arab and Muslim world.
